We're partnering with a global technology organisation to recruit an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer.
n
Joining a high-performing Agile team, you'll play a key role in delivering quality software solutions within a complex, data-rich enterprise platform. This position combines hands‐on testing, test automation and quality engineering, with a strong focus on improving product quality across the full software delivery lifecycle.
n
Working within a team focused on modern data platform capabilities, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the quality of large-scale data processing solutions and help ensure the reliability, accuracy and performance of business-critical systems.
n
What you'll be doing
n
n
Own end-to-end quality assurance for features and user stories
n
Define test approaches and execute testing against acceptance criteria
n
Develop and maintain test plans, test cases and quality documentation
n
Design, build and maintain automated tests across UI, API and backend services
n
Perform API testing, validation and access control testing
n
Validate data flows, data pipelines and data transformations across distributed systems
n
Perform automated data validation and data quality testing
n
Verify the accuracy, completeness and integrity of data moving between systems
n
Enhance and support Playwright and Cucumber automation frameworks
n
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
n
Monitor, analyse and resolve automation failures
n
Execute regression, exploratory and acceptance testing
n
Support test environment and test data management
n
Collaborate closely with developers,



product managers and team leads
n
Communicate quality risks, issues and recommendations to stakeholders
n
Champion quality engineering and shift-left testing practices
n
n
What you need to bring
n
n
4+ years' experience in QA and automation testing
n
Strong understanding of Agile delivery and the SDLC
n
Proven experience designing and maintaining automated test suites
n
A proactive and self-sufficient approach, with the ability to identify blockers, engage stakeholders and drive outcomes independently
n
Strong collaboration skills and a track record of working effectively within Agile teams
n
Experience testing data-intensive applications or platforms would be highly regarded
n
Strong test design, analysis and risk-based testing skills
n
Hands‐on REST API testing experience
n
Experience testing authentication and role‐based access controls
n
Proficiency with TypeScript, JavaScript and/or Java
n
Robust experience using Playwright
n
Experience with Cucumber or BDD frameworks
n
Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions
n
Robust troubleshooting and defect investigation skills
n
Experience across both manual and automated testing
n
Excellent stakeholder communication skills
n
Experience producing test documentation and reporting
n
n

Modernising,



optimising or scaling automated testing frameworks

Exposure to complex, high-volume and data-intensive platforms

Championing quality engineering principles and shift-left testing practices

Testing data platforms, data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes or distributed data processing solutions
n
Supporting event-driven architectures and real-time streaming environments
n
Building or executing automated data validation and data quality testing
n
Knowledge of modern data technologies including Apache Flink, Apache Spark, Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake and Kafka
n
Understanding of data transformation, lineage and end-to-end data quality concepts
n
