Due to an increase in the number of projects, we are seeking an experienced WHS Advisor to join our team on the Sunshine Coast.

The Role
n
The WHS Advisor will work closely with management and the project teams to carry out a range of duties to support and deliver successful project outcomes. You will be responsible for applying and supervising the Integrated Management System for BBN Constructions while maintaining a robust safety environment for the company.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Work as an integral part of the team to ensure BBN HSEQ Policies, Procedures and obligations have been effectively communicated to all levels within the Company.
n
Influence a positive attitude and commitment towards safety across the business.
n
Review Subcontractors SWMS and ensure subcontractors are working in accordance with their SWMS.
n
Assist in reviewing and developing the HSEQ management system to promote and protect the wellbeing of personnel.
n
Provide ongoing HSEQ advice and support to maintain current legislative requirements, risk management, HSEQ issues, policy, and procedures.
n




Provide ongoing HSEQ advice to employees consistent with the company's policies and procedures, HSEQ legislation and other guidance material.
n
Lead and/or assist with incident investigations and develop corrective actions.
n
Conduct workplace audits and inspections.
n
Facilitate and coordinate relevant safety meetings and forums for project team members, stake holders, and sub-contractors.
n
Provide monthly safety reports
n
Undertake hands on activities when required.
n
Conduct site hazard and risk inspections.
n
Coordinate the implementation of preventative measures and or close out of corrective actions.
n

Experience, skills and qualifications:
n
n
Recognised tertiary qualifications in HSEQ
n
Previous experience in Commercial Construction sector
n
Preferred minimum 5 years' experience
n
C-Class driver's licence, with the ability to travel to site and support site staff.
n
Ability to be pro-active and effectively communicate to all levels of management.
n
Proficient in HAMMERTECH Platform or similar preferred
n
