Wingecarribee Shire Council serves the Southern Highlands region of NSW located in Moss Vale, **** providing essential local government services and infrastructure.
n
We are seeking an experienced Development (Civil) Engineer to join our team and support development assessment, civil infrastructure and engineering compliance.
n
Key responsibilities:
n
n
Assess residential, commercial, industrial and subdivision developments and provide civil engineering advice.
n
Review civil engineering plans, drawings and specifications for roads, drainage, water, sewer, flooding and other infrastructure.
n
Conduct site and certification inspections to ensure civil works comply with approved plans, specifications and engineering standards.
n
Assess road, traffic, access, drainage and other civil infrastructure requirements for proposed developments.
n




Apply relevant legislation, engineering codes and standards, including AUS-SPEC, Austroads and Council requirements.
n
Prepare technical reports and recommendations and assist with reviewing Council engineering specifications, policies and standard drawings.
n

Skills:
n
n
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
n
Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience, preferably within local government, covering roads, pavements, drainage, flooding, in office detention, water, sewer and traffic engineering.
n
Analytical and problem-solving skills
n
n
Working Hours: 38 hours / per week
n
Work experience: Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience
n
Education/Skills:
n
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
n
