A leading Australian bank is looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
n
This is a hands-on role focused on the operation, support and continuous improvement of a large-scale Cisco network environment. You'll work across internet connectivity, routing, switching and critical network services.
n
The role would suit someone from an ISP background.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead troubleshooting and support activities across critical network infrastructure.
n
Investigate and resolve complex routing, switching and connectivity issues.
n
Participate in major incident management and problem management activities.
n




Implement network changes and support strategic technology initiatives.
n
Act as a senior technical escalation point within the networking team.
n
Participate in an on-call support roster.
n
n
Key Requirements
n
n
Strong WAN and internet routing skills - ISP experience preferred
n
Strong experience supporting large-scale Cisco network environments.
n
Advanced routing and switching knowledge, including BGP and OSPF.
n
Experience working with Cisco Nexus platforms, ideally Nexus ****.
n
Advanced troubleshooting skills
n
Previous experience supporting enterprise firewall technologies.
n
CCNP or CCIE certification highly regarded.
