We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join a major solar construction project located approximately 45 minutes from Canberra.
n This is an excellent opportunity for an HSE professional looking for a long-term project role with the opportunity to work as part of a professional construction team and play a key role in maintaining high safety standards across site operations.
n
The Role As the HSE Advisor, you will provide hands‐on health, safety and environmental support across the solar project, working closely with site management, supervisors, contractors and the workforce.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Providing day-to-day HSE advice and support to site operations.
n
Conducting site inspections, audits, risk assessments and safety observations.
n
Supporting the implementation and maintenance of HSE systems and procedures.
n
Reviewing SWMS, JHAs and other safety documentation.
n
Leading and assisting with incident investigations and corrective actions.
n
Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks and safety training.
n
Monitoring contractor compliance and safe work practices.
n
Identifying hazards and implementing effective risk controls.
n
Maintaining accurate HSE records and reporting.
n
Promoting a positive safety culture across the project.

About You
n
We are looking for an HSE professional who is hands‐on, practical and confident working in a construction setting.
n
Ideally, you will have:
n
n
Previous HSE experience within construction, civil, infrastructure, renewables or similar environments.
n
Relevant HSE qualifications.
n
Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and construction safety requirements.
n
Experience conducting inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
The ability to work independently while also being part of a site‐based team.
n
Construction White Card.
n
Current driver's licence.
n
n
Solar, renewable energy, electrical or high‐voltage construction experience would be highly regarded.
n
Project & Location
n
The project is located approximately 45 minutes from Canberra.
n
We are particularly interested in candidates who are:

n
Canberra‐based or living in surrounding areas and able to commute.
n
Willing to relocate to the area and remain on the project for its duration.
n
n
Accommodation will be provided for suitable candidates who relocate for the project.

Saturday: 8:00am–2:00pm

Sunday: Off
