Your Responsibilities
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide dedicated one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs
Deliver tailored interventions and support programmes
Support learning across the primary age range
Encourage engagement, independence, and confidence in the classroom
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Monitor and record pupil progress
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs,



and parents to support individual learning plans
Support small group activities when required
Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should:
Have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Have previous experience working within a primary school setting
Hold a Level 2 Childcare qualification (desirable but not essential)
Possess SEN-specific qualifications or training (advantageous)
Have a good understanding of the KS1 and/or KS2 curriculum
Be committed to supporting pupil progress and development
Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
