Position overview
Employment Type: Full time (80 hours per fortnight, with a monthly ADO), On-going position
Location: Portland Campus
Classification: Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3, SocialWorker/OccupationalTherapist/PsychologistGrade 2
Salary Range: $88,****** - $112,****** pro rata, plus superannuation
About the role
South West Healthcare's Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS) is a specialist service supporting young people aged 0–25 years and their families.
Our service includes embedded specialist streams:
Infant, Child and Family Stream for children aged 0–11 years
Youth Streams for young people aged ***** years, which include Intake and Short-Term Intervention and Ongoing Care

As a Mental Health Clinician, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-informed, developmentally appropriate treatment, care, and support to young people aged ***** years and their families.




You will work in partnership with community-based services, primary health providers, and the broader mental health and wellbeing sector to ensure holistic care.
Your responsibilities will include:
Direct service provision to individuals and groups
Consultation with mental health and wellbeing sector partners, including General Practitioners and Paediatricians
Community development and education, as appropriate to the role
What you bring
A Registered Psychiatric Nurse with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a registered nurse and have at least 2 years' experience in the provision of mental health services.
It would be desirable to have a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or completion of a specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program.
An Occupational Therapist with a Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency.
A Social Worker with a Degree in Social Work & eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
A Psychologist who has registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Psychologist, or a Provisional Psychologist completing a 5+1 program for psychology are supported and eligible to apply.
