Administration Assistant - Safety and Compliance

We are now seeking a part-time Administration Assistant (approx. 24 hours per week) to support our Safety and Compliance Team.
n
Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will support the wider Safety & Compliance Team.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Handle all internal enquiries both over the phone and in person in an efficient and helpful manner.
n
Assist the Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Advisor with:n
n
Toolbox Talks
n
Safety Audits
n
Managing WHS Training Data
n
n
Support all WHS admin tasks including incident tracking and training compliance.
n
Support a broad range of Safety & Compliance administration activities including record management, training administration, compliance registers and documentation control.
n
Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed including supporting Injury Management / Return to Work Advisors and / or the Quality Team.
n

What You'll Bring:
n
n
Strong administration background (at least 1 years' experience) with WHS experience (highly regarded)
n
A relevant Certificate III or IV in Business Administration,
WHS or Qualification (desirable)
n
Qld Drivers Licence with a sound driving record mandatory at all times
n
Confident communicator, able to engage with floor teams and management.
n
Organised, self-driven, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
n
Support the promotion of a proactive and team-oriented safety culture through effective administration and compliance support.
n
Excellent IT Skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.
n
Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed including supporting Injury Management / Return to Work Advisors and / or the Quality Team.
n
Demonstrated experience in an administration role, with a strong understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) compliance practices and processes.
n
Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, organise and prioritise work, with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
n
Demonstrated high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint, together with the ability to quickly learn and use new systems and business applications.
n
Demonstrated well-developed verbal and written communication skills,
including effective listening skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
n
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
n
Demonstrated willingness to learn recent skills, systems and processes to develop a broad understanding of the Safety and Compliance function.
n
