Tas Connect Logistics specialises in general and time-sensitive pallet freight to and from Tasmania and mainland Australia, servicing a wide variety of industries.

Due to continued growth, we seek a Forklift Operator / Interstate Loader based at our Derrimut depot for an immediate start.
n
The ideal candidate will have experience loading and unloading interstate linehaul trailers and local PUD trucks. This opportunity is best suited to a motivated individual who has proven experience in loading multiple trailers daily.

What you will be doing?
n
n
AM (6am start) or PM (6pm finish) - Monday to Friday with Possible Saturday work
n
Efficiently and safely load and unload general freight from PUD trucks and trailers
n
Loading a variety of general and express freight onto Linehaul trailers
n
Scanning freight into specific locations prior to loading
n
Ability to work within a fast-paced environment to ensure departure times are met
n

What do you need?
n
n
Current forklift licence (essential)
n
Previous experience in a similar role and a fast-paced environment
n
Ability to follow a post code sheet to ensure staged freight is put in the correct bays
n
Experience in load restraint (straps, ratchets, dogs & chains)
n
Ability to maximise linehaul trailers to full utilisation
n
Safety First attitude, reliable and a team player
