Professional Indemnity Lawyer or Associate (1+ PAE)
A leading mid-tier firm with Doyle's Guide-recognised Partners is seeking a strong Defendant Insurance Lawyer or Associate to join its Skilled Indemnity team.

The team acts for a broad range of clients, including domestic and international insurers, Lloyd's syndicates, underwriting agencies, captive insurers, affinity groups, self‐insured entities and insurance brokers.
What is the work?
You'll join an established Professional Liability team working across three key areas: Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers (D&O;) and Management Liability, acting for a diverse range of professionals and organisations across Australia.
The team represents a broad client base, including insurers, underwriters, brokers, insureds, financial institutions, accountants and auditors, architects, engineers, financial advisers, trustees, directors and officers, barristers, solicitors, hospitals and medical and para‐medical professionals.
The practice also works closely with the REIQ under its Professional Indemnity Insurance Scheme, defending claims arising within the real estate industry, including matters involving resident unit managers.
There may also be opportunities to contribute to risk management,



loss mitigation and policy drafting and interpretation, giving you broader exposure to the insurance industry beyond dispute resolution.
You'll be encouraged to take genuine ownership of some matters and client relationships, while receiving hands‐on mentoring and support from experienced Partners.

What you need?
1-3 years' post‐admission experience in Professional Indemnity Insurance Litigation, acting for the defendant
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A genuine interest in developing a career within the insurance and Professional Indemnity space
