City Kids Early Learning Centre – Southbank VIC

City Kids Early Learning Centre is a privately owned and operated long day care centre, providing education and care to children aged 0 to 6 years. City Kids has six children's rooms that cater for babies, toddlers and kinder aged children. We have two Government funded kindergarten programs - a three year old and four year old program.

This role is a full time, 40 hour per week role running a toddler room.
n
City Kids follows the EYLF and NQS to inform curriculum planning and delivery in a play based manner. The City Kids philosophy centres around working closely with families and creating a "home away from home" for children. Also important is the wellbeing of all staff and children, with a supportive environment to help people achieve their best.

The successful applicant will have:
n
n
A minimum of two year's experience as a Room Leader
n
Evidence of effective curriculum planning and delivery that meets a broad range of needs
n
Effective documentation that informs learning and teaching
n
Strong communication skills with families and co-educators
n
Effective leadership skills
n
Positive behaviour guidance strategies
n
Knowledge of children with additional needs and how to support them
n
Knowledge of Child Protected Standards and hold children's safety and wellbeing in the highest regard
n
n
Education and Training required:




n

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
n
Current Working with Children Check
n
Completed mandatory reporting training
n
Foundation in Child Safety Training - courses 1 to 4
n
Current first aid training
n
n
