About the Role
n
Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Logistics to lead our end-to-end supply chain, from farm to customer. This senior role combines strategy, team leadership, and hands‐on execution to ensure on‐time, cost‐efficient, and compliant product flow for our perishable farming operations.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
Develop and execute the end‐to‐end logistics strategy aligned with growth goals.
n
Lead and develop the logistics, warehousing, and distribution teams; foster a safety‐ and performance‐driven culture.
n
Plan demand and inventory with production, manage cold‐chain logistics, and optimize stock levels.
n
Oversee inbound/outbound transportation, carrier selection, rate negotiation, routing, and last‐mile delivery.
n
Ensure food safety, product traceability, labelling, and regulatory compliance (Australian standards).
n




Implement and optimize ERP/WMS/TMS solutions; leverage data to drive continuous improvement.
n
Monitor KPIs (OTIF, order accuracy, transport cost per unit, inventory turns, spoilage, safety).

Qualifications
n
n
3-5+ years in logistics/supply chain with leadership experience; experience in agriculture/food supply chain, logistics, or a related field
n
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; proficient with ERP/WMS/TMS systems.
n
Knowledge of Australian food safety/regulatory requirements; experience with perishable goods is a plus.
