Allied Health Team Leader – Residential Aged Care

Intrinsic Health is looking for an experienced Physiotherapist, or Occupational Therapist, to step into a Team Leader role supporting our residential aged care services across the region.
n
You can be based in Maryborough or on the Sunshine Coast, with supported travel between services as required.
n
This role combines clinical practice with team leadership and service coordination, with one dedicated day every fortnight off the floor to focus on leadership, administration, team support and service planning.
n
You'll report to our Aged Care Operations Manager and work closely with clinicians and facility teams to support strong service delivery, team development and continuous improvement.
n
About the role
n
You will maintain a clinical caseload while providing local leadership and support across our aged care services.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Leading and coordinating allied health services across residential aged care facilities
n
Supporting clinicians through onboarding, supervision, mentoring and day-to-day guidance
n
Coordinating rosters, leave coverage, timesheets and service requirements
n
Building strong relationships with facility managers and clinical teams
n
Supporting mobility, falls prevention, reablement, equipment prescription and other clinical services
n
Monitoring documentation, audits, reporting and service quality
n
Facilitating team meetings, staff training and professional development
n




Supporting continuous improvement and the rollout of new services and initiatives
n

About you
n
This role would suit an experienced clinician who is ready to take the next step into leadership, or an existing leader who wants to remain clinically connected.
n
You will have:
n
n
A bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
n
Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
n
Experience working within residential aged care
n
Strong knowledge of AN-ACC, Aged Care Quality Standards, quality indicators and reporting requirements
n
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
Confidence balancing clinical, operational and team priorities
n
A collaborative, practical and solutions-focused approach
n
Strong organisation and time-management skills
n
Willingness to travel between services as required
n
n
Physiotherapists are preferred, however experienced Occupational Therapists with strong aged care experience are encouraged to apply.
n
Previous formal leadership experience will be highly regarded, although we are also open to experienced clinicians who demonstrate solid leadership capability and are ready to grow into the role.

A National Police Check issued within the previous three months
n
A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
Evidence of influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations where required by residential aged care facilities
n
A current Australian driver licence
n
