The Parts Manager role is a permanent full time position based in our Townsville Truck Centre branch.

What we are looking for:
n
n
5+ years Parts experience within the commercial truck industry (which will put you straight to the top of the list!)
n
A strong understanding of, or a background in automotive.
n
Excellent customer service and communication skills
n
Minimum three-years management experience
n
Certificate III in Automotive Sales (Desirable)
n
Ability to quickly learn our in-house computer programs
n
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs
n
A preparedness to work outside of normal business hours if required
n
Forklift licence is highly desirable
n
n
Responsibilities:
n
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
n
n
Support the Branch Manager in business planning, departmental goal setting, and achieving parts sales and profitability targets.
n
Lead and manage the Parts Department, ensuring high levels of customer service, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.
n
Recruit, induct, train, and manage Parts Department employees,



including performance management and development.
n
Set, communicate, and monitor departmental objectives and sales targets.
n
Drive parts sales through proactive customer engagement, relationship management, and identification of sales opportunities.
n
Manage customer consignment stock, inventory levels, stock accuracy, and regular stocktakes.
n
Monitor freight costs, supplier performance, aged inventory, and warranty and return claims to maximise profitability.
n
Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and quality products.
n
Resolve purchasing, invoicing, inventory, and customer service issues in a timely manner.
n
Prepare and provide operational and performance reports to the Branch Manager.
n
Promote best practices, standard processes, and continuous improvement initiatives across the Parts Department.
n
Assist in monitoring debtor accounts and supporting the timely collection of outstanding payments.
n
Ensure the Parts Department achieves all short and long-term operational and business objectives.
n
