Seeking an experienced Accessory Fitter or Vehicle Equipment Technician to perform precise installation and enhancement of accessories on rugged 4WD vehicles and caravans. This permanent full-time position is offered by a reputable automotive fabrication workshop based in a broader southern Queensland area.

About the Accessory Fitter role

Requires: proven skills in fitting accessories and electrical components on 4WDs and caravans, with strong diagnostic and workshop procedure knowledge.

Salary range: competitive hourly rate reflecting experience.

Key responsibilities
n

Professionally install accessories such as power inverters, communication devices, batteries, and lighting on 4WD vehicles and caravans with accuracy and efficiency.
n
Perform vehicle diagnostics and resolve issues related to accessory installation and electrical systems.
n
Ensure the workshop is maintained in an organised manner, keeping tools and parts properly labelled and accessible.
n
Contribute to the introduction and implementation of new accessory and upgrade options within the workshop.
n
Collaborate closely with the team, offering guidance and support to junior staff as needed.
n
Maintain compliance with safety standards throughout installation and testing activities.
n
Work early starts with finish times allowing for a balanced workweek, including early finishes on Fridays.
