Position Details

Location:n

Mount Gambier, some travel to Port MacDonnell & Millicent may be required
n
n
Shifts currently available:n
n
9.00am - 3.00pm weekdays
n
Possible weekend and after school hours support
n
Shift duration vary, based on customers' needs and funding
n
n
Key
responsibilities:n

Community access and transport
n
Social supports

Personal care
n
Domestic duties
n
Assisting customers with meal planning, preparation and cooking
n

Qualifications and Experience
n
n
Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support, or similar qualification (desirable)
n
Current First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling certificates
n
NDIS Worker Check and South Australian Working with Children Check
n
NDIS Online Modules
n
n
Desirable additional training and/or experience in (further training will be provided)
n
n
Behaviours of Concern, utilising intervention and de-escalation techniques to support emotional regulation
n
Medication Administration
n
Complex Care needs
n




Previous experience working with children
n
Previous experience with palliative care
n
n
Other Requirements
n
n
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance, and willing to transport customers for community participation
n
Evidence of the right to work within Australia
n
Customers are requesting female support workers
n
