Reporting to the Services Manager, the Services Coordinator – Weekend ensures the smooth operation of services and provides support to individuals experiencing homelessness during the weekend. By managing both client-facing and operational tasks, the role plays a critical role in supporting individuals experiencing homelessness while ensuring that the center's operations run efficiently and effectively on the weekend.

Key responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand individual needs, goals, and aspirations
n
Provide face-to-face coaching and tailored support in various life domains including housing, health and social connection
n
Develop and implement goal-oriented, individualised plans for housing, employment, health, and social connections
n
Supervise weekend operations of 3rd Space, ensuring the center is open during designated hours and that all services are running smoothly
n
Coordinate activities, including intake, assessments, and referrals, ensuring clients receive timely assistance
n
Ensure adherence to safety and security protocols within the center
n
Manage and supervise weekend staff members and volunteers
n
Maintain accurate records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with all internal processes, procedures and policies
n
Engage in team meetings and professional networks to ensure integrated service delivery
n
Collaborate, build and manage relationships with external stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for 3rd Space visitors
n

About you
n
n
A tertiary qualification in human services, behavioural science,



social work or other relevant field of study or relevant experience
n
Proven experience supporting individuals facing homelessness and disadvantage
n
Strong understanding of the multidisciplinary factors influencing homelessness and knowledge of Queensland's community services
n
Understanding of relevant theoretical frameworks and commitment to capabilities-based, aspirational, person centred and trauma-informed practice approaches
n
Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with diverse individuals
n
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
n
Experience in implementing problem-solving approaches to crisis management and advocacy
n
Demonstrated understanding of intergenerational trauma, particularly experienced by First Nations peoples
n
Current Queensland C Class Driver's Licence
n
Satisfactory Working with Children (Blue Card) Check and National Police History Check
n
Must be able to work Friday - Monday 8am to 4pm
