Founded in **** by the Uniting Church, Newington College is an ELC to Year 12 school in Sydney's humming inner west and the north shore. From ****, the College began our exciting transition to co-education, welcoming girls into Kindergarten and Year 5. OUTLINE
n
Newington College is seeking an applicant who will work closely with the Director of Rugby, Head Coach and senior coaching staff, taking a lead role in the development of our forward packs and set piece.
n
DUTY STATEMENT
n




Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Planning and delivering high-quality forwards coaching sessions.
n
Developing and implementing technical and tactical excellence in the scrum and lineout.
n
Working with talented and ambitious student-athletes in Years 11 and 12.
n
Supporting the broader development of players as young men and leaders.
n
Assisting with the development and standardisation of scrum coaching principles across the wider rugby program.
n
Contributing positively to the culture, values, and standards of Newington Rugby.
n

Applicants should be available for:
n
n
Regular afternoon training sessions. Including match review and preview analysis
n
Selected morning training sessions during the season.
n
Saturday match commitments during the rugby season.
n
Pre-season and camp commitments as required.
n
n
SELECTION CRITERIA
n
We are looking for a coach who:
n
n
Possesses a high level of technical expertise in both scrummaging and lineout play.
n
Has experience coaching representative, premier club, school, academy, or high-performance rugby.
n
Can build robust relationships with young athletes and help maximise their development.
n
Is an excellent communicator and team player.
n
Brings energy, professionalism, and a growth mindset to the coaching environment.
n

REMUNERATION
n
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
n
