The Role
n
This is a FIFO electrical position working a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster.
n
You will work across a range of mining and industrial electrical activities, including:
n
n
Electrical project work
n
Construction and installation
n
Maintenance and shutdown support
n
Electrical upgrades and modifications
n
Fault finding and breakdown repairs
n
Servicing mining,



commercial and government work.
n
Testing and commissioning
n
n
The role would suit an electrician who enjoys a variety of work, can operate independently and takes pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment and systems
n
Carry out electrical construction, upgrades and modifications
n
Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs efficiently
n
Carry out electrical testing and commissioning
n
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation
n
Complete electrical inspections and testing in accordance with relevant standards
n
Maintain a high standard of safety, quality and compliance
n
Work independently when required and contribute positively within the wider team
n
Communicate professionally with clients, supervisors and other trades
n
Assist with the safe and efficient delivery of projects and maintenance activities
n
n
What a Great Candidate Looks Like
n
n
Qualified Electrician with a current QLD Electrical Work Licence
n
Background in mining, industrial, construction or maintenance electrical work
n
Able to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
n




Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks
n
Solid attention to detail and pride in workmanship
n
Reliable, safety focused and professional
n
Positive attitude and ability to work effectively within a small team
n
Current manual Driver Licence
n
Current CPR and LVR, or willingness to obtain
n
Comfortable working a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off FIFO roster
n
n
Additional Skills – Advantageous
n
The following qualifications and experience would be highly regarded:
n
n
Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control
n
A strong background in Mining and Construction
n
Instrumentation installation, calibration or fault-finding experience
n
Hazardous Area qualifications
n
S1, S2 and S3 competencies
n
High Risk Work Licence including EWP and Forklift
n
Working at Heights
n
Confined Space Entry
n
