We are seeking an experienced and capable Nurse Manager to provide leadership and operational oversight of Central Ward during a maternity leave period.

As the Central Ward Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide clinical and operational leadership to support safe, efficient and high-quality care.
your responsibilities will include:
Coordinate the delivery of clinical care and daily operations across Central Ward
Lead, support and develop nursing staff whole fostering a positive team culture
Managing staffing, rosters and resources within approved budgets and safe-carerequirementsPromotecontemporary, evidence -based nursing practice and effective clinical handover
Support staff performance, professional development, mandatory training and competencies
lead quality improvement, clinical risk management, audits and accreditation activities




maintain compliance with hospital policies, professional standards and relevant legislation
work clinically when required to support patient care and operational needs
What Makes a Difference for Us?
We are seeking an individual who possesses the following:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Demonstrated nursing leadership or management experience
Solid clinical knowledge and experience in a surgical or acute hospital environment
Proven ability to lead, coordinate and support a multidisciplinary team
Experience in workforce planning, rostering and resource management
Strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, risk management and quality improvement
Effective communication, interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
Demonstrated ability to manage staff performance, development and workplace change
Strong organisational, prioritisation and decision-making capabilities
