This Medical Practice Manager position provides strong leadership across our medical services in Heywood and Hamilton.
n
This senior role will support the delivery of high-quality, culturally safe, community-led care that strengthens the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and families.
n
Working within an Aboriginal Community Controlled model, you will lead staff, oversee compliance, quality improvement, budgets, and accreditation, while supporting service growth and innovation.

You will build robust relationships across teams, community, and partners to ensure services remain responsive to local needs, uphold self-determination, and deliver positive health outcomes for our community.

About Winda-Mara Aboriginal Corporation

Winda-Mara Aboriginal Corporation (WMAC) is a community-controlled organisation located in South-West Victoria with offices in Heywood and Hamilton.
n
WMAC provides a range of services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families across Heywood, Hamilton, Portland, and surrounding areas over a number of programs including Land Management, Family Services, Medical Clinic and Allied Health,



Health Promotion and Prevention, Community Wellbeing, Culture and Tourism, Governance and Administration and Kinship Care and Support.

The ideal applicant will have:
n
Qualifications in Management or similar or at least 2 years' management experience in medical practices and/or health programs
n
This role requires a compassionate and dedicated healthcare leader who is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
n
Sound knowledge and understanding of local Aboriginal Culture, values, needs, issues, and the ability to effectively communicate with Aboriginal community/people
n
Experience in provision of health services and program management, including development and monitoring work plans and budgets
n
Full key selection criteria in PD.
