We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Project Manager to join our team and take ownership of commercial joinery projects from internal handover through to final completion.

This is a key role within Elm, combining project management, client relationships, job costing, programming and coordination.

Commercial joinery experience is highly regarded but not essential. We're also interested in strong Project Managers from commercial construction, fitout, interiors, shopfitting or similar project-based environments.

The Role
n
You'll be responsible for managing projects from handover through to completion, acting as the key link between our clients and our internal drafting, production and installation teams.
n

Manage multiple commercial projects from handover through to completion
n
Act as the primary point of contact for builders and clients
n
Build strong relationships with Project Managers,



Site Managers and project teams
n
Coordinate shop drawings, approvals, procurement, production, delivery and installation
n
Develop and maintain project programs and key milestones
n
Monitor project budgets, job costs and profitability
n
Track labour, materials, subcontractor and other project costs
n
Identify and manage variations and additional works
n
Monitor project performance against budget and identify potential cost overruns early
n
Coordinate suppliers and subcontractors
n
Attend project and site meetings as required
n
Work closely with drafting, factory and installation teams
n
Identify risks, resolve issues and keep projects moving
n
Manage defects, close-out and final handover
n
Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
n
Deliver a high standard of customer service throughout the project
n

About You
n
We're looking for someone who is:
n
n
Experienced in project management within commercial construction, fitout, joinery, interiors, shopfitting or a similar industry
n
Commercially minded with a good understanding of job costing, budgets and project profitability
n
Confident managing variations and additional works
n
Excellent with people, clients and stakeholder relationships
n
Highly organised and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
n
Strong at programming, planning and prioritising
n




Comfortable dealing directly with builders, Project Managers and Site Managers
n
Proactive and able to identify problems before they become major issues
n
A strong communicator who can coordinate different teams effectively
n
Accountable and comfortable taking ownership of project outcomes
n
Confident using project management and business software
n
Holder of a current Australian driver licence
n
Eligible to work in Australia
n
n
Joinery Experience
n
Previous commercial joinery experience is advantageous, but it is not essential.
n
We're more interested in finding a strong Project Manager with the right commercial awareness, people skills, organisation and ownership mentality.
n
