National Fire Group is seeking hardworking and dedicated Solid Plasterer to join their team. Position is responsible for preparing, applying and finishing specialist fire-resistant plaster, cementitious fireproofing compounds and associated passive fire protection materials to walls, ceilings, structural elements, penetrations and building components.

Duties and responsibilities:

Read and interpret architectural drawings, construction plans, specifications and passive fire protection details.
n
Identify areas requiring fire-rated plaster, render, cementitious fireproofing or other approved passive fire protection systems.
n
Prepare walls, ceilings,



structural surfaces and other substrates prior to application.
n
Measure, mark and set out work areas in accordance with drawings, specifications and required fire-rating systems.
n
Prepare, mix and apply fire-resistant plaster, cementitious compounds, renders and other approved passive fire protection materials.
n
Apply materials to the specified thickness and finish using trowels, hawks, spraying equipment and other appropriate tools.
n
Install and finish fire-rated plaster systems around structural elements, service penetrations, joints and interfaces where specified.
n
Repair damaged or defective passive fire protection materials and reinstate fire-rated surfaces.
n
Follow manufacturer's technical data sheets, installation instructions and approved system specifications.
n
Comply with workplace health and safety requirements, protected work method statements and site procedures.
n
Follow environmental, waste-management and hazardous-material handling requirements applicable to construction sites.
