Mechanical Fitter – Night or Day Shift Rosters

An established and reputable engineering firm is seeking experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitters to join our team for an immediate start on a rostered role at a major meat processing facility.
n
This is initially a short-term project with the opportunity for ongoing employment for the right person.

Roster

Day or Night Shift Rosters available
n
5/4, 5/5, 4/5 rotating roster
n
12-hour shifts
n
Accommodation provided if required

The Role
n
As part of the maintenance crew, you will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance activities across the facility to ensure plant reliability and operational efficiency.
n
Duties may include:
n
n
Preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant and equipment
n
Fault finding and mechanical repairs
n
Equipment inspections and servicing
n
Working safely within site procedures and maintenance schedules
n




Liaising with supervisors and maintenance personnel to minimise downtime
n
n
Requirements
n
n
Trade Qualified Fitter
n
Minimum 2+ years of experience in meat processing facilities
n
Solid fault-finding and problem-solving skills
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Commitment to workplace health and safety
n
Current Driver's Licence
n
White Card
n
Ability to pass site medical and drug & alcohol testing requirements
n
