About the Opportunity
n
We're looking for an experienced and confident Forklift Operator and Storeperson to join our ZEDER warehouse team in Archerfield.
n
This is a hands-on role with approximately 80% of your time focused on dispatch and warehouse apron/yard operations - wrapping and strapping pallets, staging completed freight and safely loading trucks using a forklift.
n
You'll play an important role in keeping freight moving safely and efficiently from our warehouse onto our carriers.
n
The remaining time will involve supporting general warehouse operations as required, so you'll still need to be comfortable jumping in and completing standard storeperson duties when needed.
n
In this role, you'll:
n
Operate forklifts safely and confidently to move, stage and load palletised freight.
n
Manage the day-to-day flow of freight through the warehouse apron/yard and loading area.
n




Use an automatic pallet wrapping machine to securely wrap completed pallets ready for transport.
n
Strap and secure pallets to ensure freight is safe and ready for dispatch.
n
Stage completed pallets in the correct carrier and loading areas.
n
Load trucks safely, accurately and efficiently.
n
Coordinate loading priorities and maintain an organised warehouse apron/yard.
n
Ensure freight is appropriately secured and presented before it leaves site.
n
Work closely with the outbound and dispatch teams to keep freight flowing and minimise loading delays.
n
Maintain clear and safe forklift, pedestrian and truck movements within the loading area.
n
Assist with picking, packing, replenishment, put-away, stock movements and other general warehouse duties when required.
n
Support stocktakes and general inventory activities as needed.
n
Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse and warehouse apron/yard while following all workplace health and safety procedures.
n
About You
n
Hold a current Forklift Licence - essential.
n
Are a confident and experienced forklift operator, particularly around trucks, loading areas and palletised freight.
n




Have previous experience in dispatch, transport loading, warehouse apron/yard operations or a similar environment.
n
Are comfortable spending the majority of your shift operating around the warehouse apron/yard and truck-loading area.
n
Understand safe truck loading, load restraint, pallet stability and freight handling practices.
n
Have experience wrapping and strapping pallets or are confident learning to use an automatic pallet wrapping machine.
n
Can manage competing loading priorities while keeping the warehouse apron/yard organised and freight moving.
n
Have strong spatial awareness and take forklift and pedestrian safety seriously.
n
Are physically capable of completing hands-on warehouse work.
n
Are happy to jump in and assist with general storeperson duties when required.
n
Are reliable, organised and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
n
Take pride in doing the job safely and correctly the first time.
n
Work well as part of a busy warehouse team.
