You'll report to the Head of Commercial Operations and work closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
n
About the role
n
As Management Accountant, you'll provide the financial insight and commercial analysis that helps our leaders make better decisions.
n
You'll take ownership of:
n
n
Monthly management reporting and month-end
n
Annual budgets and rolling forecasts
n
Project profitability, WIP and margin analysis
n
Cash flow and financial performance reporting
n
Financial controls and governance
n
Improving and automating finance reporting and processes
n
n
You'll be a genuine business partner — working with operational leaders and project managers to understand performance, identify opportunities and help improve profitability and efficiency.
n
You'll bring:
n
n
CA or CPA qualification, or be nearing completion
n
5+ years' management accounting experience
n
Strong budgeting and forecasting skills
n
Advanced Excel and ERP/accounting system experience
n
Strong analytical and commercial skills
n
Clear, confident communication and the ability to build relationships
n
n
Experience in professional services, consulting,



surveying, engineering, mining or construction would be highly regarded.
n
Experience with project accounting, Power BI, financial modelling or payroll/labour costing would also be a plus.
n

Key responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts and executive reporting
n
Analyse performance against budget and forecast
n
Track key financial and operational KPIs
n
n
Budgeting & forecasting
n
n
Coordinate annual budgets and rolling forecasts
n
Build financial models and scenarios to support decisions
n
Identify emerging risks and opportunities
n
Monitor project profitability, WIP, utilisation and margins
n
Support project managers with financial insights
n
Identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency
n
Improve and automate reporting and dashboards
n
Get more value from our ERP and accounting systems
n
