We are seeking aRetail Shop Assistantto join the team at Uniform Management Services in Hervey Bay, QLD.
This is acasual positionthat offers flexibility whilst providing excellent customer service in our retail workplace.
As a Retail Shop Assistant, you will be the face of our business, ensuring customers receive a welcoming experience whilst browsing and purchasing our products.
This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for outstanding service and support in the retail sector.
Key responsibilities
Greeting customers warmly and providing friendly, professional assistance with their shopping needs
Demonstrating product knowledge and recommending items based on customer requirements
Processing transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handling cash and card payments
Maintaining a clean, organised and visually appealing shop setting at all times
Restocking shelves and displays with merchandise in an orderly manner
Assisting with stock management and inventory checks as required
Answering customer enquiries and resolving concerns with professionalism and courtesy
Supporting promotional activities and seasonal displays
Adhering to health, safety and company policies whilst on the shop floor
What we're looking for
Proven experience working in a retail environment or customer-facing role
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
Solid numeracy skills and accuracy when handling transactions and cash
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced workplace
Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to accommodate casual shift patterns
Attention to detail with pride in maintaining product displays and shop standards
Problem-solving mindset and willingness to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction
Basic computer literacy and ability to learn point-of-sale systems quickly
A positive attitude and enthusiasm for delivering exceptional customer service
