About the role
Recovery Nurse
Full time work
Work across different specialties including Gynae, Plastics, Foot and ankle surgery, and Dental,
Conduct nursing practice within an ethical framework,
Admitting the patient and taking the care from pre surgery assessment , to post surgery care , to discharge home,
Vital Sign Monitoring:Track heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and temperature as the patient wakes up.
Airway Management:Keep the patient's airway explicit and provide oxygen therapy.
Pain and Nausea Control:Give prescribed pain relief medications and treat post-operative nausea or vomiting.
Wound and Tube Care:Check surgical dressings, intravenous (IV) lines, and drainage tubes for issues.




Emergency Response:Spot signs of complications or crashing vitals and act fast to fix them.
Patient Education:Explain discharge instructions and recovery steps to patients and their families.
Team Communication:Share updates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and management
What we are looking for
Current AHPRA registration
Minimum 18 month to 2 years clinical experience
Day surgery recovery nursing experience required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team
