APG Workforce is currently seeking an experiencedSenior Property Officerto join a NSW Government agency based inParramatta.
This is an excellent opportunity for a construction or property professional to manage a diverse portfolio of residential property projects while working in a team-oriented office-based environment.
There will be no site visits needed all done through Teams and emails.
This role is available immediately through to31 December****, with thehighpotential for extension.
About the Role
Reporting to thePrincipal Property Officer - Construction & Inspections, you will be responsible for independently managing the construction, modification, major renovations, repairs and maintenance of customer properties.
You will oversee external consultants and contractors while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant standards.
This is a fully office-based position located at Parramatta, with no work-from-home arrangements and no site inspections or site visits required.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple residential property construction and maintenance projects simultaneously




Coordinate and oversee external consultants, builders and service providers
Assess and interpret residential building plans and specifications
Provide expert advice on building and construction matters
Monitor project risks and ensure timely project delivery
Liaise professionally with customers, families, colleagues and external stakeholders
Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office and internal systems
Provide guidance and support to team members when required
Handle sensitive enquiries with professionalism, discretion and empathy
About You To be successful, you will have:
Experience in residential construction, building or project management
Ability to interpret residential building plans and specifications
Strong knowledge of Australian Building Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC)
Experience managing external contractors and service providers
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems
A professional, customer-focused approach when dealing with sensitive matters
Desirable
Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Building, Project Management or a related discipline
NSW Builder's Licence (preferred)
