Job Description
This is a qualified accounting position with responsibility for financial reporting, analysis, statutory compliance, financial controls and providing management with accurate financial information to support business decision-making.

Key responsibilities
n
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including Profit and Loss Statements and Balance Sheets.
n
Prepare BAS, IAS and calculate GST obligations.
n
Review journal entries, general ledger accounts and month-end and year-end reconciliations.
n
Review financial results and identify differences between actual expenditure, budgets and financial records.
n
Analyse manufacturing, production and distribution costs, including inventory and related financial transactions.
n
Monitor payroll tax, PAYG withholding and year-end STP.
n
Review historical financial performance and prepare reports for management.
n
Review accounting controls and investigate financial discrepancies or unusual transactions.
n




Monitor cash flow, working capital and foreign exchange transactions relating to imported products.
n
Liaise with tax agents and external auditors and prepare supporting financial reports and reconciliations.
n
Assist with the integration of Cin7 Core with the company's accounting systems to improve the accuracy of financial information.
n
Ensure financial reporting complies with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant accounting requirements.
n
Provide management with advice on accounting, compliance and financial matters.
n
About you
n
A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
n
Previous experience in a professional accounting role.
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with management, tax agents and auditors.
