You will provide personalised support to participants in their home and community, assisting them to achieve their goals, maintain their independence and enjoy a meaningful quality of life.

Key responsibilities
n

Providing person-centred daily living support
n
Supporting participants with personal care and household tasks
n
Assisting with meal preparation and maintaining a safe, clean home environment
n
Supporting participants to access the community and participate in activities
n
Following individual support plans, routines and behaviour support strategies
n
Supporting medication routines where appropriately trained
n
Encouraging independence, choice and control
n
Maintaining accurate progress notes and required documentation
n
Working collaboratively with participants, families and the wider support team
n
Responding appropriately to changes in participant needs or circumstances
n
n
About you
n
n
Previous experience working with people with disability, preferably in SIL or residential settings
n
A strong understanding of person-centred support
n




Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
The ability to work independently while also being part of a team
n
A calm and responsible approach, particularly when situations are challenging
n
Good judgement and an understanding of professional boundaries
n
A solid work ethic and reliable attendance
n
Confidence following support plans and established routines
n
A genuine desire to build positive and respectful relationships with participants
n
Previous disability support experience
n
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
Current First Aid and CPR
n
Relevant NDIS mandatory training
n
Ability to obtain any other required checks or clearances
n
A supportive and qualified team environment
