Job Description
As a OO4 Ranger, you will assist the Ranger-in-Charge and 2IC in the developmentand implementation of the annual works program. This will include operating and maintaining plant and equipment, controlling pest plants and animals, undertaking planned burning and wildfire suppression activities and maintaining park infrastructure. You will also manage small projects, undertake compliance and perform various natural and cultural resource management duties.

In this role, you will:

Deliver the Operational and Annual Work Plans under the direction of the Ranger in Charge or 2IC.
n
Operate and maintain plant and equipment, control pest plants and animals and undertake planned burning and wildfire suppression.
n
Maintain Park infrastructure, manage small projects, and perform natural and cultural resource management duties.
n
Provide on-ground supervision to field staff and work collaboratively with others.
n
n
While most work will be field-based, you will also complete administrative tasks, including record-keeping, procurement and workplace health and safety monitoring. Practical skills in operating and maintaining small power equipment and tools are essential.

What We're Looking For:
n
n
A robust personal work ethic, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively or independently.
n
Practical experience in environmental management and asset maintenance.
n
Formal qualifications in Conservation and Land Management, along with an ACDC licence and a General Construction Induction Training (White) card, are highly regarded but not mandatory.
