North Shore Radiology & Nuclear Medicine – St Leonards Park NSW

What you'll be doing
n
Provide assistance with the transport and safe transfer of patients between our departments, and to/from hospital wards in beds or wheelchairs.
n
Help nursing and technical staff to provide a high quality of care whilst assisting with turning, lifting and transfer of patients from hospital beds into scan rooms.
n
Ensure patient care is managed without harm to either patient or the handlers by utilising correct patient handling techniques and appropriate aids.
n
Handling soiled linen, general or biomedical waste using correct PPE
n
Couriering equipment between departments and the wider hospital campus.
n
About you
n
Genuine interest in working with and caring for people and a drive to deliver excellent customer service.
n
Able to work multiple shifts between 8am and 6pm. Shift length and days may be variable across the week.



There is also the chance to work some weekend shifts.
n
A strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team and autonomously with the capability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
n
Flexible, reliable and the ability to prioritise while working under pressure
n
Fitness level to suit physically demanding role in fast paced environment
n
Strong communication skills, with the ability to retain information
n
Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions and procedures
