Finance Business Partner - Digital Transformation Projects

This is a genuine opportunity for a commercially-minded finance professional to play a central role across two major transformation programs at a national, publicly-listed services business. Our client is looking for a Finance Business Partner to support financial governance and delivery across two significant digital transformation projects.

The role
n
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll take ownership across:
n
n
Developing and managing project budgets, forecasts and financial models for two major digital transformation projects
n
Delivering accurate, timely month-end reporting, including variance analysis and insights
n
Monitoring project financial performance against budget and approved funding
n
Performing OPEX vs CAPEX assessments and reviews in line with accounting standards and company policy
n
Ensuring strong financial governance and controls across both projects, including monitoring spend against approved budgets
n
Collaborating with non-landfill site finance teams to review and maintain adequate provisions
n
Partnering with project managers, digital leads, procurement and finance teams as the primary finance contact for project matters
n
Presenting financial updates to Steering Committees and project governance forums
n
n
A high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of finance, project delivery and governance,



with direct exposure to senior stakeholders across the business.

What they're looking for
n
CA or CPA qualified, with an open mind on background - this could suit someone coming straight from a large accounting firm, or someone who already has Finance Business Partner or Project Accountant experience. The background matters less than the attitude: curiosity, a willingness to learn, and the drive to grow with the business. Specifically:

Experience supporting digital or transformation projects is highly desirable, but not essential
n
Solid commercial awareness and business acumen
n
Articulate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
Experience with JDE and advanced Excel skills
n
Intermediate knowledge across the MS Suite of products
n
Tertiary qualifications in business, accounting, commerce or a related field
n
