About the role
n
We are seeking a dedicated Garden Maintenance professional to join our team on a casual/fulltime basis at our Sunshine, VIC location. This role is pivotal in maintaining the outdoor spaces of our commercial clients to the highest standards. As a Garden Maintenance and Handy Person specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that gardens and landscaped areas remain well-kept, visually appealing, and in excellent condition. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work independently whilst contributing to the success and reputation of Holdsworth Painting & Contracting Services.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Perform regular garden maintenance tasks including lawn mowing, edging, and trimming to maintain neat and tidy outdoor spaces
n
Prune and maintain hedges, shrubs, and garden beds in accordance with client requirements and seasonal best practices
n
Remove weeds, debris, and dead plant material from garden areas
n
Water plants, gardens, and landscaped areas as required to maintain plant health
n
Identify and address common garden pests and diseases, recommending treatments where appropriate
n
Operate and maintain garden equipment and tools safely and responsibly
n




Perform and or assist in minor building maintenance tasks.
n
Provide professional and courteous service to clients, responding to their requests and addressing concerns
n
Ensure all work sites are left clean and tidy upon completion of tasks
n
Work independently and manage time effectively to complete tasks within agreed timeframes
n
n
What we're looking for
n
n
Knowledge of plants, flowers, shrubs, and seasonal garden care practices
n
Knowledge of minor building maintenance tasks and problem solver.
n
Proficiency in operating garden equipment such as lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and other hand tools
n
Physical fitness and ability to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions
n
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results
n
Strong communication and customer service skills
n
Reliability and professional attitude towards work
n
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to different client locations
n
Current working rights in Australia
n
Desirable: Knowledge of gardening practices, pest management, horticultural certifications, building maintenance tasks and painting.
