Personal Care Worker - Nutrition/Food Services

Kitchen/Food Services assistant is an aged care facility.
Key responsibilities
Reheat and portion meals and snacks according to residents' individual care plans and dietary requirements, including texture-modified, allergy, diabetic and low-sodium diets
Prepare fresh sandwiches, salads, cut-up fruit and other cold meals and snacks according to residents' dietary requirements and menu specifications
Follow IDDSI standards and texture-modification requirements when preparing, reheating, portioning and serving meals for residents with swallowing difficulties
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP) across food storage, preparation, reheating, portioning and service
Support the team with stock rotation,
cleaning and equipment care
Flag changes or concerns regarding residents' dietary requirements to the appropriate care team members
About you
Holds a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or equivalent food handling qualification)
Comfortable following detailed dietary charts and texture-modification instructions precisely, even under time pressure
Has worked in a commercial kitchen, aged care, hospital, or similar food service setting
Current National Police Check (or willing to obtain one)
On-the-job training and support toward food safety and nutrition
