Job Description
Medicinal cannabis is a rapidly evolving area of healthcare in Australia, requiring Pharmacists to combine strong clinical knowledge, regulatory understanding and patient communication skills.
The role involves working closely with patients, prescribers, clinics and internal pharmacy teams to support the protected and appropriate dispensing of medicinal cannabis products.
You will work across both patient-facing and operational areas of the dispensary, providing variety and the opportunity to develop specialised knowledge within medicinal cannabis.
Key responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care both in person and over the phone
Accurately and efficiently dispense and verify medicinal cannabis prescriptions
Provide appropriate medication counselling and patient education
Ensure compliance with SAS-B and Authorised Prescriber frameworks, together with relevant state-specific requirements
Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, clinic teams and other healthcare professionals
Support clinical screening and prescription-related enquiries
