Job Description
Start your recruitment career somewhere you can make an impact.
n
AWCON is a rapidly growing Australian civil construction contractor delivering major projects across mining, energy, infrastructure and heavy industry. With projects ranging from $1M to $100M+ and an expanding national footprint, we're building something bigger — and we want great people to grow with us.
n
We're looking for a Recruitment Coordinator who loves people, enjoys making things happen and wants to build a career in Recruitment, Talent Acquisition or HR.
n
This is more than a recruitment administration role. You'll work alongside experienced Talent professionals, hiring managers and leaders across AWCON, gaining genuine exposure to the people, projects and workforce behind a rapidly scaling construction business.
n
THE OPPORTUNITY
n
You'll support recruitment across our corporate, project and operational teams, with exposure to the full recruitment lifecycle including:
n
n
Supporting role briefs and recruitment requirements
n
Advertising roles across SEEK, LinkedIn and other platforms
n
Sourcing candidates and building talent pipelines
n
Screening applications and conducting initial phone interviews
n
Coordinating interviews and candidate communications
n
Supporting offers, pre-employment and onboarding
n
Maintaining recruitment data and reporting
n
Supporting employer branding, talent projects and process improvement
n
n
And as you grow, so will your responsibilities.
n
We're not looking for someone who simply wants to follow a process. We're looking for someone who is curious, proactive and entrepreneurial — someone who sees an opportunity to improve something and wants to help build it.
n
ABOUT YOU
n
You might be an early-career recruiter, agency recruiter looking to move in-house, HR/People Coordinator, administrator or someone from a customer-facing role looking to turn your natural people skills into a career.
n
You'll bring:
n
n
Genuine interest in people and recruitment
n
Solid communication and relationship-building skills
n
Great organisation and attention to detail
n
Confidence picking up the phone and talking to people
n
Curiosity and a genuine willingness to learn
n
The ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
n
Ambition to build a long-term career in Talent or HR
n
n
We can teach you recruitment. What we can't teach is curiosity, initiative, energy and a genuine interest in people.
n
Experience in construction, mining, engineering or infrastructure recruitment is highly regarded, but not essential.
n
WHY AWCON?
n
Join a business where your career can grow alongside the organisation.
n
You'll get:
n
n
Mentoring from experienced Talent professionals
n
Hands-on exposure across Recruitment, Talent and HR
n
Industry exposure to major civil construction, mining and infrastructure projects
n
Genuine career progression as your skills and capability grow
n
The opportunity to take ownership and make an impact
n
A fast-paced, collaborative and high-performing team
n
The chance to help shape the people and processes supporting AWCON's next stage of growth
n
n
At AWCON, we're building more than projects — we're building careers.
n
Our projects are challenging, our environments are diverse, and our people are what make it happen.
n
READY TO BUILD SOMETHING BIGGER?
n
You don't need to have your entire career mapped out.
n
n
Bring your curiosity.
n
Bring your people skills.
n
Bring your energy and ambition.
n
n
WE'LL BRING THE OPPORTUNITY.
n
If you're ready to start building a career in recruitment and want to join a rapidly scaling Australian business where you can learn, contribute, take ownership and grow, we'd love to hear from you.
n
Big projects. Real opportunities. A future worth being part of.
n
