Project Managers - Cairns, Winton & Gold Coast

Lackon Pty Ltd (Lackon) is a trusted provider of Project and Construction Management Services, delivering infrastructure projects across Queensland and New South Wales.

We're looking for experienced Project Managers who can be based in, or are willing to work across, Cairns, Winton & Gold Coast.
n
You'll work across a diverse range of local and state government infrastructure programs, including water treatment facilities, community infrastructure, civil works, social housing and DRFA-funded disaster recovery projects.
n
These roles are ideal for experienced Project Managers with strong client-side project delivery experience, a sound understanding of Australian Standard contracts, and a genuine commitment to delivering successful outcomes for clients and communities.
n
Your Role – What You'll Do
n
As a Project Manager at Lackon, you'll take ownership of projects from planning and procurement through to construction and completion.
n
n
Leading the delivery of infrastructure projects, ensuring scope, program, cost and quality objectives are achieved
n
Managing project teams, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders
n
Providing client-side project management and contract administration services
n
Managing contracts, variations, claims and commercial matters in accordance with Australian Standard contracts
n
Coordinating procurement, tendering and contractor engagement
n
Monitoring construction progress, costs, risks and project performance
n
Conducting site inspections and supporting effective construction delivery
n
Preparing project reports,



documentation and recommendations for clients
n
Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities
n
Building trusted relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders
n
Contributing to tender submissions and proposals
n
Working collaboratively with the broader Lackon team to achieve successful project outcomes
n

What We're Looking For
n
We're looking for Project Managers who combine robust technical and project delivery capability with a practical, people-focused approach.
n
n
A degree in Project Management, Construction, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
n
5+ years' experience delivering infrastructure projects
n
Strong client-side project management experience, preferably within government or public infrastructure
n
Experience across either water, civil, transport, community infrastructure or DRFA/disaster recovery programs
n
Proven capability in project management, contract administration, procurement and stakeholder engagementStrong knowledge of Australian Standard contracts and government procurement processes
n
Excellent written, communication and reporting skills
n
The ability to manage multiple priorities and confidently lead projects from commencement through to completion
n
