We're looking for a
API Integration Architect
to shape the integration strategy and API ecosystem for a growing technology product.
n
This is a
big-picture architecture role
where you'll define how the product connects with partners, vendors and external platforms, while establishing the standards and architecture needed to scale integrations efficiently.
What you'll do n
n
Own the
API and integration architecture strategy
.
n
Define reusable integration patterns, standards and API specifications.
n
Establish and maintain the
API register / integration catalogue
.
n
Shape API portals, developer experience and partner onboarding.
n
Design scalable integrations across APIs, events, data and partner systems.
n
Work closely with Product, Engineering and external partners.
n
Identify opportunities to use
AI to accelerate integration development
, mapping, documentation and testing.
n
Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers and architects.
n
What we're looking for n
n
10+ years' experience across
software, integration or enterprise architecture
.
n
Strong background in
API and integration architecture
.
n




Experience with API management platforms such as
Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong, Azure API Management or AWS API Gateway
.
n
Robust understanding of API security, integration patterns, event-driven architecture and data contracts.
n
Experience working with
external partners and
commercial/customer
-facing APIs
.
n
Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills.
n
Experience using
AI within integration or software development
is highly desirable.
n
Engineering background is welcomed - you should be comfortable going deep technically when required.
n
