You will be joining a long-established, Australian-owned precision manufacturing and engineering business based on Sydney's Northern Beaches. They design, build, and support specialised mechanical equipment and high-integrity metal components for mission-critical industries.
n This is a hands-on role suited to a trade-qualified Machinist, Fitter, or Technician who genuinely enjoys programming, setting, and operating machinery.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Machining & Programming: Program, set, and operate a range of manual and CNC machine tools (including 5-axis DMG MORI using CAM software).
n
Apply lean machining principles to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
n
Component Precision: Machine, fit, assemble, and refurbish mechanical components and engineered equipment from technical drawings.
n
Quality & Inspection:



Hold tight tolerances and inspect finished parts using micrometers, verniers, and CMM to verify quality.
n
Maintenance: Carry out routine preventative maintenance on workshop machinery.
n
Teamwork: Work closely with the workshop supervisor and wider team to complete jobs safely and to strict industry standards.

What You Need
n

Australian-recognised Trade Qualification
n
3+ years of CNC programming and operating experience (not just operating).
n
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (PR) no sponsorship unfortunately.
