About Foxwell Magic
Foxwell Magic has been a much-loved early learning service in the Coomera community for 11 years.
We have recently completed an exciting extension, growing from six rooms to eight rooms, and our service still feels brand new.
We are proud of the team and culture we have created. Many of our educators have been with us for years, with team members who have been part of Foxwell Magic for 10, 8 and 6 years, as well as many others who have been with us for more than a year.
We believe that great services are built by great people — and that great early childhood programs are built by passionate, knowledgeable and supported educators.
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate
Early Childhood Teacher (ECT)
to join our team and take responsibility for delivering a high-quality kindergarten program. The room that you will be responsible for has a smaller number of around 10 children and while you transition to the role you will have a support person there with you every day.
This is an opportunity for an ECT who wants to be part of a service where their professional knowledge, ideas and individuality are valued.
You will work closely with children, families, educators and the leadership team to create a learning environment where children feel safe, confident, capable and excited to learn.
You will have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with children and families while designing and implementing an engaging program that reflects children's interests, strengths, ideas and individual learning needs.
We are also open to flexible working arrangements.
We understand that a traditional five-day working week doesn't suit everyone. If you would prefer to work a
four-day week
, we are happy to discuss how this could work for you.
Our priority is ensuring that any working arrangement continues to meet all requirements of the
Queensland Kindergarten Funding Guidelines
, including the requirements for an approved kindergarten program, appropriate teacher attendance and continuity of the kindergarten program.

What You'll Be Doing
As our Early Childhood Teacher, you will:
Plan, implement and evaluate a high-quality kindergarten program
Develop an engaging program based on children's interests, strengths, abilities and individual learning needs
Use the Early Years Learning Framework to guide curriculum decisions and children's learning
Create meaningful learning experiences that support children's development, wellbeing and school readiness
Build strong, respectful and genuine relationships with children




Support children to develop confidence, independence, resilience and a love of learning
Document children's learning and use observations and assessment to inform future planning
Work collaboratively with educators to ensure consistency and continuity of the educational program
Share your knowledge and pedagogical expertise with the wider team
Develop strong relationships with families and communicate positively about their child's learning and development
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the service and kindergarten program
Maintain appropriate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and funding requirements
Support inclusion and ensure all children are provided with meaningful opportunities to participate
Contribute to a positive, skilled and collaborative team culture
Maintain a strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standard
Work collaboratively with the Educational Leader and leadership team
Lead by example and demonstrate professional standards of practice
This is more than simply delivering a kindergarten program.
We want our ECT to be someone who genuinely enjoys getting to know children, discovering what makes them tick and creating experiences that make them excited to come through the front door each morning.
We want someone who isn't afraid to get down on the floor, get involved, be creative and have a laugh with the children.
The Person We're Looking For

You might be an experienced ECT looking for a new service, or a newly qualified teacher looking for a supportive environment where you can continue developing your professional practice.

Essential Requirements
You will have:
A
Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
,
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
, or another
ACEQCA-approved early childhood teaching qualification
Eligibility for or current registration with the
Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
, as applicable
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
Current
Blue Card / Working with Children Check
as required
Current
GECKO training
Strong knowledge and understanding of the
Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Strong knowledge of the
National Quality Framework (NQF)
and National Quality Standard
Understanding of the requirements for delivering an approved kindergarten program in Queensland
Previous experience in an early childhood education and care environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A genuine commitment to children's safety, wellbeing, learning and development
