Scope of The Position
n
Geomotion are looking to expand our team of committed installation technicians and engineers. Field Technicians are responsible for ensuring our instruments are prepared, installed, and commissioned to the best level of quality required for a successful monitoring scheme.
n
The position of Field Technician will be based in our QLD office. Duties will be based both in the office and on site. Site work will take place across Queensland, with requirements for occasional regional and interstate travel.
n
Site work will involve installing structural, ground, and environmental monitoring systems in accordance with construction drawings and design specifications. Installation, programming and commissioning data loggers and telemetry devices; maintaining installation records and promoting a safe workplace with zero harm.
n
Office based work will involve testing, assembling, preparing and packing instruments ready for projects; preparing project documentation and maintaining records; assisting with general maintenance and upkeep of equipment, plant and the facilities.
n
This is a role that has genuine capability to grow, quickly, with a range of recent projects due to come online in the coming months,



and the ability to step up and take on more responsibilities for the person that is willing to jump into it. The role would suit a technical trade background, or from a science & engineering background - Geotechnical / Geology / Environmental / Physical Geography. The successful applicant will report to our I&M; Manager across a range of projects.

Your Responsibilities

Providing input into health, safety, environmental and quality documentation
n
Preparing instruments, materials and tools for site work
n
Installation of Structural, Ground, and Environmental Monitoring Systems
n
Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, clients and asset owners
n
Provide installation, monitoring and maintenance services
n
Work as part of a team to plan and meet workload demands.
n
Business operations – as part of a growing business you will be involved in all aspects of operations.

Follow business processes to ensure consistent high-quality results.

Current Australianmanual driver's license

Experience

Knowledge of construction methods and practices

Good computer literacy – word, excel and outlook

Experience of borehole drilling techniques and methods

Knowledge of geotechnical testing practices
