Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Engineering Lead to lead a team of nine engineers delivering an AI-enabled automated patching and remediation capability across a large enterprise microservices environment.

You'll lead the initial pilot before scaling the solution across 250+ Java/Spring Boot APIs, combining hands-on engineering leadership with AI-assisted development, automated testing, vulnerability remediation and modern DevOps practices.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Lead a team of nine engineers delivering an automated API patching factory.
n
Drive AI-first engineering practices across development, testing, code review and documentation.
n
Scale automated patching and remediation across 250+ microservice APIs.
n
Build reusable regression testing and automated quality frameworks.
n
Automate Spring Boot dependency and security patching using Renovate.
n
Lead remaining Spring Boot 3 to Spring Boot 4 migrations.
n
Establish engineering standards across development, testing, security and CI/CD.
n
Provide hands-on technical leadership across Java, Spring Boot, APIs, AI and automation.
n
Mentor engineers and work closely with architecture, SRE, testing and delivery teams.

What We're Looking For
n
n
Strong Engineering Lead / Technical Lead experience in complex enterprise environments.
n
Deep hands-on Java and Spring Boot expertise.
n
Strong microservices, REST API and integration experience.
n




Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-based microservice environments.
n
Practical experience using AI coding assistants throughout the software engineering lifecycle.
n
Strong understanding of automated testing, CI/CD, DevOps and observability.
n
Experience with event streaming and real-time integration.
n
Strong technical design capability and experience establishing engineering standards.
n
Experience with Renovate, automated dependency management or vulnerability remediation would be highly regarded.
n
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead both onshore and offshore engineering teams.
n
Contract: 6 months

Rate: $950-$982 per day including super
