Christian Studies Teacher/Assistant Chaplain

NBCS is seeking to appoint a dynamic person to the role of Christian Studies Teacher with the equivalent of a day per fortnight allocation to work as an Assistant Chaplain. This role will be full-time commencing Term 1, ****.
n

Role:
n
This role will be an advocate for the Christian faith:
n
n
teaching Secondary Christian Studies Years 7 -12
n
contributing to Christian Ministry, for Years K-6 and 7-12 respectively
n
supporting wellbeing initiatives, working pastoral with students, families and staff
n
preparing, leading and speaking at public gatherings such as Chapel and parent events
n
actively contributing to the co-curricular life of the School
n
n




Requirements:
n
n
active and prayerful Christian faith consistent with Christian beliefs
n
exceptional understanding of young people
n
highly relational approach that engages students, parents, and staff
n
intellectual strength, qualified integrity, and sound judgement
n
sensitive approach, considerate of the current cultural climate
n
either NESA accreditation, or recognised theological study (for non-teacher)
n
organised, productive, flexible, and approachable in a dynamic context
n
willingness and capacity for active co-curricular involvementYouth ministry experience will be well regarded
n
n
