The Opportunity Sante Recruitment is seeking an accomplished Physician and senior medical leader to take on the influential role of Clinical Director of Medicine within a major regional health service in New South Wales.
n This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior clinician who wants to make a genuine difference to the way medical services are delivered.
n Working closely with hospital executives, clinical leaders and district-wide stakeholders, you will provide strategic, clinical and operational leadership across a large and diverse Department of Medicine.

n This role provides an opportunity to build on existing services while introducing innovative approaches to workforce planning, patient flow, ambulatory care, virtual models and integrated hospital-community care.
n Key Responsibilities As Clinical Director of Medicine, you will:
n

Provide strategic, clinical and operational leadership across the Department of Medicine
n
Lead service planning,



redesign and performance improvement initiatives
n
Oversee clinical governance, quality, safety and risk management
n
Provide leadership in medical workforce planning, recruitment, retention and wellbeing
n
Support professional development and succession planning across the department
n
Strengthen physician education, supervision and training
n
Support training accreditation and the development of junior medical staff
n
Champion contemporary models of care, including Medical Assessment Units, rapid-access clinics, Hospital in the Home and virtual care
n
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, patient flow and clinical outcomes
n
Support research and education through established university and medical research partnerships
n
Develop strong relationships across medical specialties, nursing, allied health and executive teams
n
Represent the Department of Medicine at hospital and health-service leadership forums
n
Maintain an active clinical workload within General Medicine or your recognised physician subspecialty
n
n
About You You will be an experienced Physician and collaborative medical leader who combines solid clinical credibility with the ability to lead people, influence change and deliver meaningful service improvements.
n Essential Requirements
n
n
Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP)
n
Specialist registration with AHPRA
n
Senior clinical experience in General Medicine or an appropriate physician subspecialty
n
n
You will also bring:

Demonstrated experience in medical leadership, clinical governance or service development
n
Experience leading organisational or clinical change
n
Strong understanding of workforce planning and medical workforce development
n
An interest in physician education, supervision, training and accreditation
n
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills
n
A solid commitment to quality, safety and patient-centred care
n
The ability to engage, motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams
