Located in Moranbah and Emerald, Light Vehicle Solutions supply and maintain light vehicle fleets to a diverse range of customers throughout the Bowen Basin region.

An opportunity has become available for a Qualified Mechanic to join our growing vehicle hire division in our Emerald Workshop.
n
Your duties will include, but not be limited to
n
n
Inspect vehicle engine and
mechanical/electrical
components to diagnose issues accurately.
n
Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
n
Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.)
n
Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues.
n
Keep job logs on work and issues. Includes preparing condition report for vehicles.
n
Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
n
Ordering and take delivery of parts.
n

To be successful in this role, you will have
n
n
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
n
Solid mechanical servicing and repair experience.
n
Certificate III in Automotive Technology or equivalent qualification preferred.
n
Third and fourth-year apprentices with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
n
A current Australian driver's licence.
n
Positive attention to detail and the ability to accurately record work completed.
n
A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and vehicle reliability.
n
The ability to work independently while also being part of a small team.
n
A strong understanding of current automotive industry practices.
n
Visa holders currently residing in Australia will be considered.
n
n
The role is full-time Monday – Friday in our Emerald workshop. You will be rewarded with an industry competitive hourly rate with a view to securing a long-term career with a family-owned business.
