Hextra is seeking an Estimator to own the full scope of pricing across mechanical, electrical, fire, and HVAC+R services. You will read and interpret drawings, attend site inspections and walkthroughs, and price labour, materials, plant, and subcontractors to company margin requirements. You'll provide successful handover sessions with team leaders, project managers and Leading Hands, and oversee and hold accountable Leading Hands fulfilling smaller site quotes.

Key responsibilities
n
Read and interpret drawings
n
Attend site inspections and walkthroughs
n
Price labour, materials, plant, and subbies to company margin needs
n
Quote across mechanical, electrical, HVAC+R and fire
n
Provide successful handover sessions with team leaders, project managers and Leading Hands
n
Oversee and hold accountable Leading Hands fulfilling smaller site quotes
n




Measure and scope jobs on site directly
n
Tender and fulfil inbound quotation requests
n
Monthly reporting on results and performance
n
About you
n
Estimating experience in HVAC&R;, electrical, fire and the appetite to take on all three
n
A trade background, or technical depth that stands in for one
n
Enough judgement to scope a job on site on your own
n
Knowledge of drawings, specifications and the standards that apply to your trade
n
Competent with simPRO or similar, and Excel
n
Right to work in Australia
n
Advantageous:

Qualification in CAD Drawings for final markups
