We're looking for a Graduate Accountant to join ourFinancial Performance team. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experienceacross a broad range of accounting functions while supporting the

What You'll be Doing
n
n
Supporting financial reporting, budgeting andforecasting activities across Council
n
Assisting with the maintenance of financialledgers,



journals and charts of accounts
n
Helping administer and improve Council'sfinancial systems while supporting users across the organisation
n
Maintaining grant registers and assisting withgrant claims, reporting and acquittals
n
Supporting asset accounting processes, includingasset register maintenance and stocktakes
n
Working collaboratively across the AccountingServices team to deliver quality financial outcomes
n
n
About You
n
You are a motivated and detail-oriented accounting graduateor emerging accounting professional who is eager to learn and develop yourcareer. You enjoy working with numbers, systems and people, and take pride inproducing accurate, high-quality work.
n
You bring a sound understanding of accounting principles,strong technology skills and the ability to communicate financial informationclearly to a range of stakeholders. You enjoy working collaboratively, canmanage competing priorities and are keen to contribute to meaningful work thatsupports the local community.
n
Key Criteria
n
n
A tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance, or arelated business discipline (eligibility for CA/CPA program entry is highlyregarded) or working towards a tertiary degree and have relevant
accountingexperience.
n




Demonstrated knowledge of key accountingconcepts and principles and an ability to interpret financial data accurately.
n
Demonstrated ability to plan work, managecompeting priorities, and consistently meet strict organisational deadlines.
n
Strong technical aptitude,
includingintermediate
-to-advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the capacity to handlesystem administration for corporate financial software
n
n
