Design & Build Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and growing engineering and building design consultancy to recruit a Approvals & Permits Officer to join their Sydney team.

Working alongside a team of experienced engineers, building consultants, planners and designers, you will play an significant role in ensuring projects progress smoothly through the planning and approvals process.

The Role:

As the Approvals & Permits Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating planning, approval and permit processes across a variety of building and construction projects.
Preparing and lodging Development Applications and managing them throughout the approval process
Preparing documentation to support planning applications, including Statements of Environmental Effects and Waste Management Plans
Coordinating the information and reports required for submissions
Working closely with a range of consultants, architects and civil engineers & surveyors.
Acting as a key link between building designers, engineers and external consultants throughout the design and approvals process




Following up on outstanding information and ensuring applications continue to progress within required timeframes
Reviewing documentation carefully to ensure submissions are accurate, complete and ready for lodgments

About You:
Previous experience coordinating DA applications and the planning approvals process
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Confidence working autonomously and taking ownership of your workload
The ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deadlines at once
Robust written and verbal communication skills
